Reputable securities broker in Asia is seeking a specialist with solid understanding of FIX connectivity and broker trading systems, to join their Sales Trading team in locations of Taiwan or Korea. The right person will be doing FIX certification and testing; work with buy-side IT desk and system vendors to facilitate connectivity for equity and futures. The company is interested in a person with IT skills but can also offer a role in equity/ futures sales and marketing. This opportunity may be a way for IT specialist to be in transition into a sales role.

• Problems solve certification issues, reconcile specification differences.
• Deployment and testing client facing technology for equity and futures.
• Implementation of new FIX connections with new clients who will do electronic trading business in equity cash, futures and options markets.
• Setup new connections in production, testing with clients, and second line production support. 
• Work closely with the International Institutional Equities Department as well as other IT teams.
• Setup FINI accounts for electronic trading.
• Custom support FIX applications.

• Degree in Computer Science, Info Engineering or similar discipline.
• Around 4 years working experience in front office application support or development.
• Hands-on working knowledge in Unix, SQL and Shell Scripting is essential.
• Some form of knowledge on Unix, C++ programming, vendor/ trading OMS will be advantageous.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills in both English and Mandarin.
• Good customer service attitude is needed.
• Knowledge of order state handling for Equities and Futures/Options will be an asset.
